Rubens' house

The brilliant and versatile artist Rubens lived in this palazzo with his family. Here he also painted with his colleagues and assistants. He created many of his paintings in this house, in the centre of Antwerp. The museum has an interesting collection but also shows visitors how the master lived and worked.

DIVA Museum for Diamonds, Jewellery and Silver is a museum that opened in Antwerp, Belgium, in 2018. It merged the collections of the former Antwerp Diamond Museum and Sterckshof silver museum in a single institution.
Diamond museum
The Stadsfeestzaal is a neoclassical building from 1908, built according to the plans of city architect Alexis Van Mechelen at the request of the city council. It is located on the Meir, the main shopping street in the city of Antwerp. Another entrance is located on the Hopland. Along the Meir there were always stores and apartments. Through a gateway one had access to the party hall located at the back. The ballroom has a rather unique for that time metal construction as a span.
